Excited and hopeful about bringing about change for families

"This is the parenting approach and course I have waited for.  In my 30 plus years of community development work this is the first course that has made me excited and hopeful about the changes it would bring to families and the difference it would make."

Accessible delivery and a positive impact

Excited and hopeful about bringing about change for families

"The way the NVR course was delivered was very accessible and you can see how you can share and impart the NVR principles to carers and parents.  The ethos and approach is key and this is why I can see it having such a positive impact."

Facilitator's testimony brings principles to life

"The testimonies of one of the facilitators really helped bring this approach and the principles to life, which was helpful.  The principles seem simple, but effective, which is what you want as a practitioner.  I would definitely recommend the NVR programme to parents and professionals. "

  • Review of practice and experience - ethics and values, self-reflexivity, reflective writing and supervision;
  • Advanced clinical applications - multi-agency working, safeguarding, building networks and integration within diverse settings;
  • Bespoke approaches - devising programmes for particular cohorts of parents/carers, working with parent practitioners, research and accreditation.

Participants will need to have completed their Level 1 NVR Training either with us, or another NVR-UK Training Organisation.

Certification

On completion of this course (with at least 80% attendance) and evidence of the associated supervised clinical hours, participants will receive an NVR-UK Certificate of Completion for Level 2 Training in the Non-Violent Resistance Parenting Approach for Professionals.

Challenging thinking and deepening knowledge

In-depth discussions and sharing good practice

Challenging thinking and deepening knowledge

"Four days of being surrounded by people who want talk and learn about NVR has been a real treat. The course has challenged my thinking, deepened my knowledge, allowed me to be creative about NVR and put me outside my comfort zone, which is where we know the magic happens. And hopefully I will have gained a network of brilliant NVR practitioners to boot."

Knowledgeable and experienced trainers

Challenging thinking and deepening knowledge

"I have completed level 1 and 2  NVR Practitioners Consortium. I feel confident that I am skilled in the approach going forward to give the best service to clients. Both tutors were very knowledgeable, experienced & open to sharing their experiences to support development. They were well-grounded and approachable. It was a safe, and productive learning environment. "
